AIA-West Jersey kicked off the 2015 General Meetings on March 31st with the 2015 International Building Code Seminar at Caffe Aldo Lamberti in Cherry Hill. The AIA-WJ has been extended an invitation to the AIA-SJ Dinner meeting on April 21, 2015 at Avalon Links Restaurant, 1510 North Route 9 in Cape May Courthouse, NJ.  Cocktail Hour will begin at 5 pm.  The program speaker commences at 6 pm and will be Elizabeth Terenik the Director of Planning and Development for Atlantic City.  Dinner will follow at 7 pm.  Please RSVP to Bruce Turner at (856) 405-0351 or bdtaia@aol.com by Friday, April 17, 2015.  The cost for AIA-SJ members is $20.00; Interns and Assoc. Members from AIA-West Jersey joined leaders from AIA Chapters throughout the United States on March 4-6, 2015 in Washington, DC for the 41st annual AIA Grassroots Leadership and Legislative Conference.  The annual conference provides leadership workshops, networking events and advocacy opportunities for attendees.  Face-to-face meetings with peers from across the country and direct conversations with our legislators are just some of the opportunities provided to boost advocacy for the profession and a better future for architects.   The 9th Annual AIA West Jersey Photography Competition  The 2014 competition has opened for submissions.  Winning entries will be used in the AIA West Jersey 2015 Calendar that will be distributed to members and affiliates. Images of the winning entries will shown at AIA-WJ events including the Annual Inaugural Gala to be held in January, 2015. From the winning entries, three cash awards will also be presented.
