In the face of the coronavirus crisis, designers are stepping up in new ways to use their skills and expertise to solve community problems. Join AIA WJ on September 30th for a virtual presentation by Community Design Collaborative’s Director of Design Services, Heidi Segall Levy, AIA, that will highlight how the design community is providing quick, inexpensive, and easily-implemented solutions to help vulnerable communities, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations respond to challenges caused by the pandemic. The session will highlight the Community Design Collaborative’s Design AID (Assistance in Demand) initiative, which is providing quick-response design services to community organizations and small businesses.

The Community Design Collaborative provides pro bono preliminary design services to nonprofit organizations in greater Philadelphia, creates engaging volunteer opportunities for design professionals, and raises awareness about the importance of design in revitalizing communities.
